July 2008, my friend and I went to YOKOHAMA HAKKEIJIMA SEA PARADISE. It is a leisure island. It is located at the tip of Yokohama Bay and is a new generation style amusement park. It is the home of one of the top aquariums in Japan. Over 500 different varieties of fish with more than 100,000 sea creatures in all. It is one of the largest Aquariums in Japan. There is an immense three-story aquarium filled with thousands of tropical and fresh water fish. (That's what their pamphlet said).

We paid for a 1 day ticket pass where we could access all the attraction in the park which are Aqua Museum, Marine Mammals show, Dolphine Fantasy, Fureai Lagoon and Pleasure Land.

After we tour the museum we headed to the aqua stadium where sea lions, dolphins, penguins and white whales will show their amazing tricks.

When the marine mammal show ended, we had our lunch and go straight to Dolphin fantasy. Dolphin Fantasy is an tunnel shaped-like aquarium with dolphins swimming both beside you and overhead. At the end of the tunnel is a cylindrical tank where there is a 360 degree view of the white whale which sometimes swim right up to the glass.
