Soldout @ Boracay

One of my memorable trip was when SoldOut (a group of young adult in our church that are SoldOut to God) had its camp at the the beautiful island of Boracay.

The camp date was Aug. 20-22, 2009, we choose that date para mura lang yung plane ticket and accommodation. Most of us arrived early sa boracay para makapagrelax ng matagal.

As for me, August 19 yung flight ko and that's my birthday. So happy and so thankful to God for His perfect gift. Actually it was my first out of Luzon trip and first time na makakapag-beach.

we're about to depart for kalibo
This was the year when Caticlan Airport was closed temporarily for inspection, kaya all our flights was rerouted to Kalibo. So sad, we need pa to ride a van to get to Caticlan Jetty Port.

We paid our environmental fee, terminal fee and boat transfer at the cashier of the Port. And we hopped on an air conditioned ferry.

We check-in at Boracay Courtyard, about 2 minutes walk para makarating sa beach.

at last were in boracay...

We had our lunch at Mang Inasal and rested for awhile. Then in the afternoon, we went to the beach to swim.

super magulong jump shot..
Next day, we had our breakfast at La Carmela (included na yung breakfast sa accommodation namin). After breakfast, beach bum na kami.

After lunch, we tried some of the activities. First, jet ski. Super masayang experience. We paid 1500 pesos for 30mins, pero sabi samin nung una ni manong 45 mins daw. We had fun naman kaya ok lng and learn from it na lng.

Jet ski!!!   ate ree and me.. i am a bit scared at first to try it alone

trying it by myself.. sooo much fun!!!

ATV would cost you 400 pesos per person with a side trip at Mt. Luho view deck and mini zoo.

From our little adventure, daretcho na kami ng hotel to get ready sa first night ng camp. Hawaiian ang theme so merong garlands for every campers. We held our program at CME Boracay. God blessed us so much dahil we got the place for a really cheap price.

We woke up early the next day for island hopping. It was part of the camp activities. We rented 2 boats that would bring us to Puka beach and to the snorkling area.

i am scared to just jump in the water.. feeling ko hindi magwork yung life vest ko.. wahahaha
Afternoon activity namin ay beach games. First game is yung kukuhanin nung nasa unahan ng team ang panyo na nakasabit sa likod nung huling player sa kabilang team.

team 2
Second game naman is called caterpillar. Lahat ng player sa both team is nakaupo and magmove forward hangang sa finish line. Just look at manong na may skim board lumapit talaga.. hehe..

caterpillar race
But it was just fine kasi super enjoy naman kami. After ng afternoon activities namin, nagready na kami for worship night that would be held again at CME Boracay, then we had our dinner in one of the resto in D' Mall.

Our last day was shopping day. Bought pasalubong for my family and officemates. After lunch we headed to Caticlan airport. From there, we will take a van going to Kalibo. The van was provided by the airline since our flight was rerouted to Kalibo.

So, that's the first ever SoldOut retreat at Boracay. And all I could say is, being a SoldOuter was not boring at all because young adults also know how to have fun. :-)
